  René Clausen's Requiem for chorus and orchestra was given its world-premiere in Popejoy Hall on April 26, 2011. The success of that concert led to an invitation to give the New York City premiere at Lincoln Center. This is an invitation we have accepted! Two hundred singers from UNM's choral program, along with UNM faculty soloists, will grace the stage of Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall on Sunday afternoon, March 18, 2012. It would be wonderful to have a strong contingent of Albuquerqueans in the audience. Consider yourself invited! In addition, our women's chorus, Las Cantantes, will make a tour of New York in June of 2012. So "The 505" will be well represented in The Big Apple this year. Concert experience like this puts our students on equal footing with any university in the country. Thank you for your support of the UNM choral program.
