Dolce Suono is a mixed chorus made up of music majors and minors, as well as interested singers from throughout the UNM campus. The group sings a broad range of repertoire. The choir performed with Santa Fe Pro Musica's Handel celebration "Ode to Music" and the Santa Fe Opera's LifeSongs project. LifeSongs is devoted to creating new musical works with people in nursing homes and hospice with collaborating support from youth, community choirs, and professional composers, artists and musicians. Dolce Suono also appeared in the Hey Mozart in the Fall of 2011, which featured the works of young New Mexican composers. Members of the chorus will also join the "UNM -> NYC" group that will travel to Lincoln Center to give the New York premiere of Clausen's Requiem for chorus and orchestra in March 2012. |  Director: Dr. Regina Carlow  Dolce Suono at the Lensic Theatre, Santa Fe |
